Chain break on the trail, land you in a tizz? After our weekend workshop in Bike Maintenance & Repair, you'll be the one providing the fix!!
Retreat to the KZN Midlands armed with a multi-tool, and let Andre our bike whizz teach you not only to diagnose, but remedy those irritating creaks & groans. Our first few courses are aimed at novice to intermediate 'Mr (s) Fixettes'.
WORKSHOP TOPICS
Our Beginner / Intermediate Courses will cover the following topics in the 2 days of Workshop:
General bicycle maintenance : washing practice, lubrication, maintenance intervals
General bicycle setup : saddle hgt & position settings,stem length, handlebar, gear shifter & brake-lever positioning
Front & Rear Derailleur Settings: High/ Low limit settings, B-Tension, Cable tension & replacements.
Chain maintenance & repair
V-Brake Setting: Pad alignment & replacemnt, spring tensioning & cable tension
Disk Brake Setting: Calliper alignment, pad replacement, Lever reach adjustments, bleeding & oil replacement
Headset adjustment and service
Trouble-shooting & Analysis
Tech-Talk: Componentry – we know that some of you, just cant resist )
WEEKEND WORKSHOP - PRICE
The price for workshop participants is: R 1,250/pp
This price includes:
• 2 full days Bike Maintenance Workshop (well accredited tutor - former mechanic for Morewood International Racing Team )
• 2 nights accommodation (Midlands guest farm)
• All meals except breakfasts (i.e. 2 dinners, 2 lunches & 2 morning teas provided)
• Other activities: Social MTB rides organised, tubing, walks
