Midlands Cycle Tour

Greytown - Kamberg: 1-4 Dec, 2007

Experience the heart and soul of the Midlands countryside on a fully-supported mountainbiking tour taking place from the 1–4 December, 2007. This 3-day cycle tour starts in Greytown and finishes near the Kamberg - passing through a diverse range of vegetation and landscapes from valley bushveld to mistbelt forest, open grassland, commercial forestry plantations and private farmlands. Overnight in comfortable farm and/or guesthouse accommodation, whilst we take care of all your luggage and meals.

Daily riding distances will range from 60 – 80km's. The tour is aimed at persons with previous mountain-bike experience and a reasonable level of fitness. However, routes can be shortened or modified according to the group's requirements, whilst vehicular support will be provided from predetermined points. Depending on group size, a slower and faster-pace group may also be formed.

Pricing

The cost of the 4 Day (3 Full Cycling Days) / 4 night Cycle Tour is R3,150 pp - requiring a minimum group size of 4 persons.

The services provided on our Midlands Cycle Tour include:

  • Professional Guiding and Vehicle Back-Up Support
  • 4 nights overnight Accommodation (guest lodge, BB or farmhouse)
  • Full Catering (dinner, breakfast, packed lunch & snacks)
  • Luggage Transfers between overnight stops
  • Return transfer to vehicle / or vehicle transfer
  • Safe Parking for vehicles during Tour

    • The price excludes:

    • Alcoholic Beverages (although a limited selection of table wine & beers will be included)
    • Personal Insurance (make sure your insurance covers mountainbiking)
    • Your transport to the start /& return from the tour

    This is a scheduled cycle tour, but if you have a party who is interested in doing something similar - perhaps a multi-day 'training tour' with increased mileage, or less mileage and more 'meander' - contact us so that we may either adapt this tour or customise another to meet your groups requirements.
